STHAPATI is a multidisciplinary architectural practice headquartered in Lucknow and New Delhi. Their portfolio spans a spectrum of building typologies, from housing to large-scale urban developments across India and the globe—including New Zealand and Mauritius—spanning more than 100 million sq. ft. The diverse portfolio comprises building typologies such as institutions, hospitals, offices, commercial developments, housing, railway stations, and airports, among others. They are a pioneer in designing airport terminals and urban mobility infrastructure, shaping mobility hubs that blend efficiency with architectural innovation and cultural underpinnings. STHAPATI’s work extends beyond the Indian subcontinent and has received numerous prestigious awards.

Vipul B Varshneya

Vipul B. Varshneya is Co-founder and Director at STHAPATI, where her work engages architecture through heritage systems, urban planning, and cultural landscapes. She has guided major projects, including post-earthquake reconstruction in Bhuj, the redevelopment of the National School of Drama in New Delhi, the redevelopment of Leh Airport in Ladakh, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport at Ayodhya, and Jodhpur Airport, as well as projects in the USA, New Zealand and Mauritius. Beyond practice, she contributes extensively to heritage research, publications, and conferences, and serves as the Convenor of the INTACH Lucknow Chapter and an Adviser to ICOMOS India. An author of six books, her work focuses on documenting and advancing India’s cultural and architectural heritage.

Anuj Varshneya

Anuj is an acknowledged authority in the field of structural engineering with 28 years experience in the infrastructures project planning, detailed design, PPR & DPR, project management for multi – storey housing, institutional, commercial, industrial buildings, road bridges, railway bridges, rail cum road bridges, Viaduct, continuous balanced cantilever bridges, ROBs / RUBs, Cast-in-situ concrete bridges, Pre-stressed concrete Bridges, Segment-ally constructed bridges, metro station, retrofitting of existing weak structures, steel structures, bridge build method, earthquake resistance structures & detailing as per international & national codes and specifications.

Harsh Varshneya is the Principal Architect at STHAPATI, a multidisciplinary architectural practice headquartered in Lucknow and Delhi. He combines technical mastery with research-driven, sustainable design, guiding the firm’s work across airports, railway stations, academic campuses, and strategic infrastructure. His expertise lies in the design of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on aviation, urban mobility, and institutional development, which strengthen India’s connectivity and global design presence.

Khushboo Bansal is a Principal Architect at STHAPATI, a multidisciplinary architectural practice headquartered in New Delhi and Lucknow.
