Designing for Government Efficiency and Employee Well-being
As the nodal agency behind India’s BharatNet Initiative, Bharat Broadband Netwrok Limited (BBNL) needed a workplace that reflected its national vision of digitally connecting rural India, while also embodying the efficiency and transparency of a progressive government institution.
Located within the ehart of India’s capital, the BBNL office is designed not merely as a workspace but as an architectural statement of digital connectivity and technological progress. The building’s exterior employs a clean, rectilinear geometry, finished in a palette of natural stone, hgh-performance glazing, and aluminium fins. These elements together create a dignified yet modern aesthetic, projecting solidity, transparency, and dynamism.
The spatial planning follows a modular, flexible grid that accommodates diverse workstyles, ranging frm individual cabins to open-plan collaborative bays. The ground and first floors serve public-facing functions, while upper floors house department heads, technical teams, and strategic units. Te transition between zones is seamless, aided by generous corridors, efficient vertical cores, and clearly demarcated service areas.
