The new passenger terminal building at Jodhpur Airport represents a significant development in airport architecture. The project aims to blend modern amenities with traditional Rajputana and Mewar architectural styles, creating a unique and culturally rich experience for travellers. The architectural design draws inspiration from Rajasthan’s rich heritage, particularly the Mewar Rajputana style. The entrance gateway features a fluted dome top with a kalasa on a lotus base reminiscent of forts and palaces in the region. This design element is also influenced by Sikh architecture, adding a unique touch to the airport’s facade.
