The Light House Project (LHP) in Indore is a pioneering housing initiative designed to demonstrate the potential of cutting-edge construction technologies in the face of the region’s unique geo-climatic and hazardous conditions. The project’s primary aim is to swiftly and economically provide high-quality, ready-to-live homes while maintaining a strong commitment to sustainable practices. These LHPs act as live laboratories, facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies from planning and design to construction practices and testing. This initiative aligns with the transformative vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister, emphasising technological advancements to deliver low-cost housing that meets stringent environmental, societal, quality, and economic standards.

LHP Indore features eight identical towers with Stilt+8 floors and a community centre, comprising 1024 flats. Each tower spans approximately 61,202 square feet and is designed as a typical rectangular block with a symmetrical plan, ensuring aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency. The structure is a steel-concrete hybrid, with the substructure constructed in reinforced concrete (RCC) up to the plinth level and the superstructure using RCC shear walls and a pre-engineered high-resistance (HR) steel frame. This combination ensures durability and resilience.
